My name is Witold Henszel (pronounced as Vee-told Hen-shell); I am based in Fermoy, about 25 miles (40km) from Cork, on the south coast of Ireland.

I've always enjoyed taking photographs, ever since i managed to save enough and buy my first Russian Cmena 8M at the age of 10. Since then I've been shooting on and off, as much as circumstances allowed. Just before i moved to Ireland I happened to live in 4 different countries within the course of one year. It was then when the hobby really took off and became my driving force.

Even though I like candid street photography and photojournalism the best, I have never limited myself to one particular school or type of photography. I shoot as much digital as film, and seascapes as willingly as portraits.

Whenever I have a chance I try to experiment with new techniques - whether it is low fidelity photography, infrared photography or aerial photography. I even run my own wet darkroom, for developing and printing.

My gear includes (but is not limited to):

Canon Eos 20D
Canon Eos 50E
Mamiya 645 Pro
Holga

Canon EF 17-40 f/4.0 L
Canon EF 50 F/1.8
Canon Speedlite 580EX
Mamiya Sekor C 45, 80 and 150 lenses
